Peter Milos, a Brisbane chef and the former owner of an upmarket inner-city restaurant, has been found dead in a suburban garage, prompting police to launch a murder investigation.
The body of the 26-year-old, formerly an owner of Mariosarti in Toowong, was found in the garage of a house at Key Street, Morningside, about 4:00pm (AEST) on Tuesday.

Detectives tracing Mr Milos' final movements say he left the home of a female friend early on Sunday morning.

The same friend found his body at the Morningside house, where he had been staying.

Detective Acting Inspector Tony Geary said it was "too early to say" how Mr Milos died.
"A post-mortem examination will be conducted and we should have more information as the day progresses," he said.

Acting Detective Inspector Geary has appealed to Mr Milos's friends, relatives and associates, and to the public, for help in the murder investigation.

"Of course we are asking for people who have seen Mr Milos since the early hours of Sunday morning to make contact with us," he said.
