Former DPP solicitor Lisa Munro avoids jail time for cocaine possession |
A former DPP solicitor found with more than half a gram of cocaine on a Sydney street has been placed on a 12-month good behaviour bond for drug possession.
Police stopped Lisa Munro in Potts Point on July 10 and found her carrying 0.65 grams of cocaine in a small plastic bag in her hand.
The Downing Centre Local Court heard on Monday that police noticed she had white residue on the corners of her mouth and appeared nervous.
A few days later, Munro resigned from the DPP and, last month, she pleaded guilty to one charge of drug possession.
The 33-year-old appeared composed as she was sentenced on Monday and placed on a 12-month good behaviour bond.
