| Police seek clues to catch arsonist after suspicious fires at Elphinstone, Metcalfe near Castlemaine |
Police investigating a series of deliberately lit fires near Castlemaine in central Victoria are looking for more information about a white four-wheel drive.
The six suspicious fires started in the Elphinstone and Metcalfe districts overnight last Thursday and threatened two homes.
No-one was injured in the fires and no properties were damaged.
Police said an arsonist was responsible and they want any witnesses who saw a white vehicle in the area to call them.
